Putting yourself "out there"!!

To "put yourself out there" so to speak is quite a hard thing within the radio industry, some of you may think that it is easy to get behind a radio desk and talk, yet it isn't.
Imagine this, you are sitting behind the desk, trying to think of what to say during the music breaks after you have covered everything you have wanted to, then the mic drops out and the plug is loose so you have to sit there, hold it in and pray for the best, that is what happened in my most recent show.
Also when there is a storm it seems as if the radio studio is going to be blown away as this is what it looks like from the outside:
Yet as you can tell from the previous photos, it isn't half bad inside.

Moving onto my first show, during my first show Gracia my co-host and I were joined with our manager gabe, during the first show we were all super nervous as we didn't want to stuff up, shameful thing is, we did.
During the first show we played songs late, forgot to turn mics on and forgot to turn them off, we also forgot to play the adds which was of great help...

The next couple of shows were alright, sure we had our problems like some songs being labled wrong and us playing the wrong songs because of that, or the adds not being there, oh and not to mention the fact that sometimes youtube doesn't work so we have to rely on our lack of CD's.
