How did I score this gig?

The way that I scored this gig was through my scholarship, I have only just found out that my name was dropped by the people that awarded me the scholarship, and I was more than happy to accept the voluntary work as it means that I now have my foot in the door in the media industry.
The day that I was asked for an interview I was outside and came back in to find my phone vibrating on the coffee table, so I picked it up and on the other line was the manager of OnairPlayout which is the show that I am the host of at this point in time, he then offered me a spot on the show to which I eagerly accepted.
And suprisingly after my training my co-host was introduced to me, the reason that it is funny is that my co-host is none other than my old highschool friend Gracia Ngoy and below is an image of us at our year 12 formal, I'm glad that I have her as my co-host as it makes on air talking alot easier.
